🏡 A week at Casa Luna – Diary of a rejuvenating stay at the Euganean Spas
Day 1 – The Arrival: A first breath of freedom
We are a family of four, including two almost-adult children. "We had been waiting for this holiday for weeks. The car was loaded, the kids excited, the playlist ready. When we arrived at Casa Luna, the first thing I thought was: finally, a place that feels like home, but away from everything." After hours on the motorway, finding free parking right under the house was a relief. The apartment was bright, spacious, with a large kitchen and a terrace that seemed made for morning breakfast. "In the evening, we took a walk towards the center of Montegrotto along a beautiful avenue with multi-colored lights illuminating the trees, amidst the scent of lime trees and background music. No schedules, no obligations. Just the feeling that time was finally slowing down."
Day 2 – Unexpected wellness
"The next morning, we decided to start with what brought us here: the Spas. We walked to the nearby thermal center—there are many hotels in the area, all close to Casa Luna; here, a mud therapy treatment and a relaxing massage awaited us." As the warmth of the mud enveloped the skin, the tension accumulated over months seemed to slowly melt away. After a dip in the thermal pool, we felt brand new. "In the afternoon, we simply... did nothing. We sat on the terrace, reading, chatting, watching the kids play. I don't remember the last time I felt so light."
Day 3 – A stress-free day in Venice
"Visiting Venice was our dream, but we were scared of the traffic, parking, and crowds. Then we discovered that from the Terme Euganee – Abano Montegrotto station, trains leave for Venice every hour." We left the car parked under the house and in less than an hour, we were on the Ponte degli Scalzi. No stress, no rush. Just the thrill of walking among the world's most famous canals, alleys, and squares. We walked a lot through the "calli," saw St. Mark's Square, and had an ice cream near the Rialto Bridge. The children were enchanted. Venice is unique and fantastic. "In the evening, back at Casa Luna, we made a simple dinner together: pasta, cherry tomatoes, and a glass of wine. That was the beauty of it—having our own kitchen, the freedom to feel at home even on holiday."
Day 4 – Nature and silence: trekking in the Euganean Hills
"After Venice, we needed quiet. We took the bikes and headed towards the Euganean Hills. A landscape that looks hand-drawn: vineyards, olive trees, farmhouses, and the scent of wet grass." The route recommended by Casa Luna took us to a panoramic point from which you could see the entire plain as far as Padua. We stopped for an improvised picnic and a toast with local wine. "It was one of the best moments of the trip. No crowds, no noise, just us and nature. A peace we hadn't felt in a long time."
Day 5 – Art and culture: discovering Padua
"We decided to dedicate a whole day to Padua. In less than twenty minutes by train, we were in the center, ready to lose ourselves in history and beauty." Prato della Valle left us speechless with its vastness. Then a visit to the Botanical Garden, a stop in Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, and an emotional visit to the University where Galileo taught. "The most intense moment? The Scrovegni Chapel. In front of Giotto's frescoes, we looked at each other in silence, as if time had stopped." In the evening, returning to Casa Luna, we enjoyed the sunset from the hill where the Cathedral of Montegrotto stands. "I didn't think a holiday could be so complete: relaxation, culture, nature, and freedom, all together."
Day 6 – The luxury of simplicity
"The last few days were dedicated just to us. Slow breakfasts, walks, a few extra massages. The children discovered a small park nearby; we rediscovered our calm." In the evening, we lit some candles and had dinner with the windows open and the moon watching over us. The warm breeze, the scent of flowers, and 그 feeling of peace that only certain places can give. "At Casa Luna, we didn't just find accommodation, but a new rhythm. A space to be together, but also for everyone to have their own time."
Day 7 – Departure: with a full heart
"The last day arrived too soon; it is always the hardest. We had breakfast all together, trying to enjoy the calm and light that filled the house until the very last moment. As I was loading the suitcases into the car, I looked at the terrace and the open windows of Casa Luna for a moment. In just one week, we had truly recharged—body and mind. Before leaving, we said goodbye to Luisa and Giorgio, who welcomed us like old friends. Always present but never intrusive, kind and attentive to every detail. You can tell immediately that hospitality is a true passion for them. Luisa gave us some more advice for the journey home, Giorgio helped us with the suitcases: small gestures, but the kind that stay with you. We thanked them both from the bottom of our hearts: two professional hosts who always put the guest first, and who made this holiday more than just a simple week of relaxation. As the car drove away, the children looked out the window and I thought: 'It’s rare to feel so at home even when you’re on holiday.' And I know that one day we will truly return."

Epilogue — Our thanks
From our side, Luisa and Giorgio, we wish to sincerely thank this wonderful family for choosing Casa Luna and for sharing their experience with such sensitivity. Their words describe exactly the spirit with which we created this place: to welcome, to make people feel at home, to offer serenity and freedom to those who choose to stay here. Their testimony, so precise and full of detail, is for us the most beautiful confirmation that authentic hospitality is born from small attentions and the sincere pleasure of taking care of others.
